Is Symbicort Turbuhaler (Budesonide/Formoterol) really safe for me?

After several weeks of prolonged coughing and wheezing, waking up in the middle of the night to find that I'm gasping for air, my OB-Gyne decided to refer me to a pulmonologist.

This is where my confusion begins.

First, the OB-Gyne said I can go ahead and get my anti-influenza vaccine. The pulmonologist said I shouldn't. The OB-Gyne said that I could take anti-asthma medication only when the benefits outweigh the risks. The pulmonologist said that I should take the maintenance drug, if only to keep me from dying in my sleep. Now, I'm wondering whether I should believe the well-meaning medreps or if I'll follow my own mother's advice and just go natural?

us going are your prayers and whole-hearted support. I am overwhelmed
by the email and texts that we have received these past days and we do
appreciate them. I am only sorry this has to take up your time still.
Second, I beg you not to let up in your prayers and support. As we
said, this was going to get ugly. Just today, my father has been
depicted in the most disgusting way as a double-dealer. Whatever
least-favorable fact they can get a hold on, they will spin to make
him look evil.
Can you expect me to take sitting down an editorial which depicts my
father as "hopelessly naïve…too clever for his own good…or a bumbling
prisoner of circumstance, who has blown the lid off a legal system so
thoroughly tainted it cannot absolve itself the longer the inquiry
